Dear Parents/Guardians:
As you know, our area is experiencing an increasing number of COVID-19 cases. This condition not only poses health and safety concerns for the school community, but staffing concerns as well. Due to the impact of COVID-19 this school year on our school community, staffing levels are razor thin right now. With the holidays approaching and colder weather coming, the combination of larger gatherings as well as more time indoors provides an opportunity for this virus to spread and further impact our schools.
As a proactive approach to limiting student and staff exposure to COVID-19 due to Thanksgiving gatherings and festivities, Eatontown Public Schools will follow a remote educational schedule during the week of November 30, 2020. The current hybrid schedule will resume on Monday, December 7, 2020.
Please know that the district does not take these decisions lightly. Thank you for your cooperation and support. We will continue to update you on any changes to the school schedule in the days and months ahead. Please stay well.
Sincerely,
Scott T. McCue
Superintendent of Schools
