Regular Schedule

Weather-Related School Schedule Changes

The district closely monitors the current weather situation throughout the school year. If regularly scheduled school operations need to change due to the weather, the district may transition to following a delayed opening or early dismissal schedule or, if the weather causes unsafe road conditions or major power outages, a full emergency day may need to be used. If there is a change in the schedule, the change will be communicated via phone, text, email, and the district website.

Delayed Openings

In the event the district does need to transition to a delayed opening schedule for days when the forecast indicates improving weather conditions, the schools will open one and a half hours (90 minutes) later than their regularly scheduled opening.  Students who ride the school bus would report to their bus stops 90 minutes later than their normal morning bus stop time. Regular lunch periods and dismissal times would be in effect. The Breakfast Program will be offered on days that have a delayed opening.

9:20 a.m. - 2:19 p.m.

Margaret L. Vetter School
Grades 4-5
9:20 a.m. - 2:18 p.m.

Woodmere School
Grades 2-3
10:00 a.m. - 2:58 p.m.

Meadowbrook School
Grades K-1
10:00 a.m. - 2:58 p.m.

Preschool Program (located in district schools)
Ages 3-5
10:00 a.m. - 2:58 p.m.

Kiddie Academy
Ages 3-5
10:20 a.m. - 3:18 p.m.

Lightbridge Academy
Ages 3-5
10:45 a.m. - 3:43 p.m.

Early Dismissals

In the event the district does need to transition to an early dismissal schedule for days when the forecast indicates declining weather conditions, the schools will follow the one-session day schedule. Students who ride the school bus would arrive home early and parents of younger students would need to be at the bus stop at the regular one-session day scheduled bus times. The Breakfast Program will be offered on days that have early dismissal and a bag lunch may be offered on early dismissal days.
