Dear Eatontown Public Schools Community Member:
As the end of the year approaches, I would once again like to share an opportunity for students and staff made available through the donations of COVID-19 tests by the federal and state governments. On Monday, May 8th, the district will distribute two free at-home COVID-19 test kits to each student and staff member. As clearly stated in the past, although the use of these tests is purely voluntary, these tests can provide another layer of mitigation during the summer and early fall. If you do not want or need the tests, you can simply donate them to family, friends, or other community members that may need them.
The goal in distributing these tests to all school community members is to help our families screen for COVID-19 as well as keep students and staff in school. Although we all want to enjoy future activities with family and friends, we also want to maintain consistent school routines for our entire school community. Attached you will find a notice that demonstrates the expiration date has been extended to January 2024.
Thank you for your consideration and cooperation. Please stay well.
Sincerely,
Scott T. McCue
Superintendent of Schools
