Meadowbrook School -

Through the preschool grant and ESSER funds, Meadowbrook was able to add several improvements to the playgrounds. The ground was prepared and resurfacing was poured over the entire preschool playground. This poured rubber surfacing provides better cushioning and fall protection.We were able to extend the fencing to add several more square feet to the area. We added many new pieces of equipment such as train and turtle spring riders, a climbing rock, and a play wall. This new equipment, along with the existing play pieces, encourages active play, helping children develop gross motor skills, coordination, and strength. Children’s interaction with playground equipment and bikes encourages creative and imaginative play, and develops cognitive and social skills.
