A Message from the Principal

It is my pleasure to welcome you and your child to Woodmere Elementary School, a school where our staff, students, parents/guardians, and community all contribute to the excellent education, fine traditions, safe environment, and high expectations that are present every day.

My name is Kevin Iozzi and I have been a principal serving the children of Eatontown for well over the past decade. I began my administrative career at Margaret L. Vetter School in 2011 and moved to Woodmere in 2021. With over 25 years of experience in education, I have established a belief that I believe as much today as I did when I began this journey. It is based on a quote from Walt Disney who said, “Our greatest natural resource is the minds of our children.” This quote is the guiding principle that I try to use with every decision I make, program I implement, or safety protocol I enforce. Our future is dependent on how well we model, teach, or inspire our children to be the best version of themselves.

Based on this philosophy, the staff at Woodmere vow to develop a community of life-long learners by providing a nurturing environment where our children can learn and grow. We further vow to develop important character traits meant to enhance and encourage positive interactions with members of our school community and to ensure that the social and emotional well-being of our children is weighed with every decision we make.

I am hopeful that you will help us obtain our goals by staying involved and supporting the objectives listed above. If there are any questions or topics that I or any other member of my team could provide, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Thank you for your continued support and for being a valued member of our Woodmere Elementary School Community.

We will provide instructional materials and strategies whereby children will gain essential knowledge and the skills to become problem-solvers.

Through character development and team building activities, we will prepare children to become successful citizens in a global, multi-cultural society.
