I had the honor of becoming the principal of Meadowbrook Elementary School in July of 2020. However, I actually began my educational career in September 1996 right here in Eatontown as a special education teacher at Meadowbrook School. I had the opportunity to teach our Eatontown students at various grade levels, from kindergarten to sixth grade, across all three of our elementary schools. In addition to my classroom responsibilities, I also served as an ELA Coach, teacher-in-charge, and served on various committees throughout my tenure. Personally, my husband and I have two grown children and a 3-year old, 110 lb. Husky/Shepard mix.
My vision as principal is to support and guide our students on a path of intellectual, social and emotional growth, as well as to develop civic-minded members of our school community. I value partnerships with our families, staff, and community in order to create a safe and equitable environment for our students to develop a sense of belonging and a love for learning. The expression “It takes a village” resonates with me as I believe that the collaboration of all stakeholders is required in order to build an environment in which every student has the support and opportunity to be their best self. Here at Meadowbrook, it is our goal to develop not only foundational academic skills, but also develop students that learn how to make friends, be kind, advocate for themselves and have confidence. It is our goal to instill a love of learning that they carry with them long after they walk out our doors.
