  • Winter Learning Academy

The Title I sponsored program, Winter Learning Academy, will begin on January 26, 2019 at Margaret L. Vetter School. This is a program that targets students in need of extra help by providing a ten-week review of skills and knowledge in English Language Arts for targeted students in Kindergarten to Second Grade, and Mathematics and English Language Arts for targeted students in grades Three to Eight. This program will provide an opportunity for your son/daughter to work in a small group with a Highly Qualified Teacher (this program is in addition to the after-school workshops being held at each school). A breakfast snack will be provided at the beginning of each session and a school nurse will be available throughout the course of the program. Unfortunately, transportation cannot be provided. The program will be divided into two sections (9:00 a.m. - 10:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.) for the Kindergarten-Second grade students. Parents may choose either section. For students in Grades Three to Eight, English Language Arts will be taught during one section and Mathematics during the other. Students may attend only one session, or stay for both. It is strongly recommended that students participate in both sessions.
